The Precision Health platform is a joint effort of individuals and organizations under the umbrella of #COVIDActionCollab. This is an environmental surveillance platform that aims to promote systematic wastewater surveillance and other environmental surveillance tools for early detection and prevention of disease outbreaks by creating an early warning system.
Environmental (wastewater) surveillance is the most underutilized tool, with utilization for polio and now limited COVID surveillance. With the interest in environmental surveillance as a public health tool, ignited by the COVID pandemic, we’d like to use this momentum gained.

Geographic Information System mapping to identify vulnerable communities at risk from impending natural as well as health events.
Triangulation Intelligence
Integrating and triangulating multiple data sources on health and climate risk indicators of the city for comprehensive visual sense-making of a situation.
Finally, the triangulated data generated from these tools is used to deploy risk communications and community engagement with policymakers at different levels of government and with community partners. This includes sensemaking workshops, capacity-building sessions using IEC materials and health communication products and feedback processing from communities. This is our value addition as a responsible, community-oriented early warning system.
